“BEFORE THE DAY OF JUSTICE, I AM SENDING THE DAY OF MERCY.”

Could we be entering upon a "Time of Justice"?

The Signs of the Times
Jesus said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain—and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot—and so it is.
You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time? (Luke 12 54-56)

Also, in St. Faustina Kowalska's Diary we have Jesus saying “BEFORE THE DAY OF JUSTICE, I AM SENDING THE DAY OF MERCY.” (Diary, #1588). It is universally accepted that we are currently living in this "Day of Mercy." Many people have surmised that this period of mercy has likely consisted of the decades spanning from the end of World War II to the present time in which we are living.

For his part, in March 2014 Pope Francis shared his belief that we are living during the "Time of Mercy" spoken of by St. Faustina, and he dates the beginning of this period to around the time of St. John Paul II's consecration of the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1984:

“I am sure of this. It is not only Lent; we have been living in a time of mercy for the past thirty years or more, up to today.”  -Pope Francis, Exhortation on Mercy to Roman Priests, March 6, 2014.

For it was the 1984 Papal consecration, made in union with the bishops of the world, whose fruits of which is widely recognized by Church to have led to the eventual collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, ushering in a significant downturn in Communism, and a period of relative peace in the world.

The end of the "Year of Mercy"
In just a few short weeks of this writing, the Church will be concluding the present "Year of Mercy" instituted by Pope Francis, spanning from December 8, 2015 to November 20, 2016. With the passing of this "Year of Mercy" soon upon us, is it possible that we (humanity) may be entering upon the prophesied "Time of Justice"?

Quite a few people have observed that with the passing of recent months it seems that a certain darkness is ever increasing upon the earth. Perhaps some would surmise that such feelings simply come from the vitriolic atmosphere of the current US presidential election, along with the war in Syria and Iraq, the heightened tensions between the USA and Russia, China's increased military presence in the South China sea, along with the conflict in Yemen, to name just a few of the troubling current global events.

For those who keep watch and reflect upon the various current purported prophets and visionaries of our time, the "sensus fidelum" seems to be that we are on the verge of significant worldwide events which, on a spiritual level, will be for the purification of humanity, for we know from the Scriptures that it is often through calamities and suffering that God draws His children back to Himself.

It is often remarked how while history does not always repeat itself, at least it always rhymes, and reading through the Old Testament we see how God would send (or permit) great catastrophes to befall his chosen people the Israelite's, to draw them back to Himself after they had strayed. And just prior to this God would always send prophets to warn them and call them back. Historically, the Israelite's would always ignore the warnings of the prophets, that being their own "Time of Mercy", and then inevitably would come their "Time of Justice." Such is the recurring theme of the Old Testament.

Remember that God has a plan, and all that happens is for our reclamation and salvation
Thus reflecting upon God's numerous interventions in the Scriptures, one point becomes very clear--though God may cause (or allow) humanity to suffer various calamities, it is ALWAYS for our reclamation and salvation. So whatever, if anything, may soon befall us in the times to come, we should not lose hope, for even in His justice God is always infinitely merciful and loving. For He is mercy and love Itself.

I once read where a person stated "...a time will come where God's mercy will end, and His justice will then prevail."  The truth is, God's mercy will never end, because He is mercy Itself. But He is also just, and He loves His children with an infinite love, so when we collectively stray through abandoning God, worshiping false idols, and falling into numerous sins, there eventually comes a point which obligates Him to withdraw His protective hand, and allow us to experience the effects and consequences of our sins and our abandonment of Him, that He might, once again, reclaim us and call us to return to Himself. For in another part of St Faustina's diary Jesus tells us: “He who refuses to pass through the door of My Mercy must pass through the door of My Justice.” (Diary 1146)

The year 2017 marks the 100 year anniversary of Fatima, and the 500 year anniversary of the Protestant reformation.
But are we really on the verge of a purification consisting of very grave worldwide events? God alone knows. But as the headline above states, the year 2017 marks the anniversaries of two very significant events in Christian history--the 100 year anniversary of Fatima, and the 500 year anniversary of the Protestant reformation. Time will very soon tell what is in store for us.

Meantime, the "Year of Mercy" instituted by Pope Francis will be concluding on Sunday, November 20th. And the people of the Kingdom here below watch, wait and pray.
---------------------------------------------------------
"Today I am sending you [Sr. Faustina] with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice, I am sending the Day of Mercy."
"I am prolonging the time of mercy for the sake of sinners. But woe to them if they do not recognize this time of My visitation" (Diary of St Faustina Kowalska, 1588 and 1160).

Dear Glenn,
what I have been feeling is that there are two distinct event at hand. One is a spiritual event done by God, and the other is a new upheaval in the natural order, possibly including world war. From the perspective of those suffering, it might as well be one endless sorrow, for many despair of ever living with interior peace. Also, there is the revelation of the state of souls to the human race. With all these things at hand, one could say one chapter of our existence is coming to an end, and a new one beginning, but with all of it heaped on us together, we will need to trust Him and commend ourselves to His mercy. There have been many appearances over the years, of Mary and Jesus, but in all of there varied details, one thing remains, that our salvation and survival depend on prayer. If Catholics and all Christians had any sense, they would fill the churches to bursting every day now, begging for mercy and grace.

Disappointingly scaremongering hopelessly flawed post. People were not brought back to Christ because of the suffering during WWII if anything people are far less churched and much more disengaged from the Church than when it began. Even this blows your whole argument that God is going to make us suffer to draw us closer to him out of the water. I truly wonder at people who predict or semi-predict or wonder about doomsday happenings. The world is in a much better state than it was when Hitler took power. You cite some negatives but left out the balance of all the good and protective factors in the world today. It is not just about risk factors, protective factors play a part also. By conveniently leaving them out you have created a hopelessly biased assertion which fits your worldview rather than a reasoned argument taking all factors into consideration. Why do you have this unhealthy pre-occupation with "justice" for those you think are outside your circle of traditional Catholic belief? If you are truly concerned about the world do something to sure up our protective factors which I'm sure God is very happy about. Maybe volunteer at the UN? Writing poorly reasoned speculative blog posts which can have the detrimental effect of completely derailing those with predilections to anxiety and "prepping" is decidedly unhelpful and playing into Satan's hands. Who knows how many you have hurt already with this post? I hope you will take it down but it is controversial enough to drive traffic to your site so.......

Hi Anonymous,
Sorry you did not like the article. It is meant to be cause for reflection, than a statement of facts. As for "scaremongering", I suppose you would have found the prophets of old to be scaremongers also, along with the ones living today?

My point is, I personally sense that we are living in times such as were those of Nineveh, and I hope that like the Ninevites we will turn from our sins at the warning of Jonah, while we are still in the time of mercy, but sadly I don't seem to be seeing us listening to the one's who have been "sent" over recent decades. Nay, the mystics and visionaries of our times are generally ignored by the vast majority. But this is simply my take for whatever it is worth, and you are certainly free to disagree.

May God bless you and your loved ones,
Glenn Dallaire

Thank you Brother Michael Miller for sharing your reflections--I completely agree with you. If only we would have listened to the warnings of Jesus and Mary in Their numerous appearances during recent centuries we certainly would not be in such a predominantly Godless world in which we are living in now.

May God bless you and your loved ones,

Russia's Northern and Baltic Fleets are steaming toward Syria right now. Combined, they make up a force of about fifteen ships with one aircraft carrier. All of Russia's submarines have been deployed off of the coasts of Europe and America.

Why should the fact that Russia's Navy is so small, make all of us sit up and take notice? Because Russian strategy combines its conventional and nuclear forces into a singular, cohesive force.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, Russia has been busy modernizing its nuclear rocket forces. If the Russian Navy starts to take damage, they will not hesitate to escalate to the next level. The Russian ships will be in position next week.

A storm is certainly brewing, and we can all feel it in our souls.. As Our Lord lamented over Jerusalem (Matthew 23:37-39), I'm sure he laments at the state of affairs of today's world. Yes, His mercy endures endures forever, for God cannot negate himself- and He is Mercy itself. However, mercy does not exclude justice, it never has. The task of every Christian is to be ready, like the five prudent virgins, living a life in the sacraments, prayer, and the ten commandments- the rosary is particularly key, as our Lady has mentioned on many occasions.

Anonymous has a good point, we cannot allow ourselves to despair- but the post is neither "poorly reasoned" nor "speculative"- many saints and true visionaries have foreseen a time of great tribulation, and we may just be headed in that direction...

Glenn your snide comment about "finding the prophets of the old testament scaremongers" is decidedly unchristian and uncalled for. Having a feeling about something does not constitute an argument. The prophets of the OldTestament at least formulated arguments within their prophecies. A feeling does not justify scaring others with warnings about terrible days of justice when somehow God will ignore people's free will and "traumatise" people into accepting His ways. I do not understand this need to have God come and strike with justice via catastrophe. God's greatest but paradoxical institution of justice was sending His Son who healed us all whether we accept the medication or not. He came with healing and love not a "storm" or catastrophe. People can listen to God and Mary but the listening means nothing if people do not act upon what is said.

I agree with the OP that the mercy is not going to end but the justice of God is going to manifest itself, not for those who already converted to God though.

More concrete, it is a time for Fatima prophecies that should be fulfilled before the 100th anniversary, or said otherwise before the "end of the century", a prophetic century that obviously started in 1917 not 1900. If we take into account other apparitions, such as the not officially approved Garabandal, we will see there is a need of some technical time to unfold all components of God's plan (and we will never know the entire God's plan until it is realized). We need at least several months for these events, not only 3 days of darkness. Although God can make everything overnight if He will so.

Whether we will have some sort of sneak attack from Russia or some rogue proxy, or the events will take completely unprecedented turn that today few people contemplate? It has to be seen.

Didn't pope Francis say last Christmas it was our last Christmas, echoed by the Queen of England? The French foreign minister's 500 days of climate chaos expired a year ago. And still nothing happens...calm before storm.

I believe God's mercy has already prepared a plan for those of us who believe in IT, a door of mercy to pass thru.

Hi Glenn, can you quote what Saints or mystics have led to your belief about this?
All I'm getting from this is that it sounds like you've been influenced by this Charlie Johnson chap, who to me, just writes down what he wishes will happen.
We need to not worry about these things. Get right with God, be a good Catholic and help those around you who are going through their own 'storm'. Live as if any day could be your last because we are much more likely going to die in a normal way then by some missile.

I am looking forward to the 100 years God gave power to satan (from July 17, 2017) to be over next year. If our lifestyle that we currently know dismantles, we shall have to deal with the life God delivers us each day. We know that prayer! I would like to mention here is that George Washington was visited by a "beautiful woman" who showed him a vision of the Republic. Perhaps he and the vision should be published here also. It told of three dark events in America, but before the third dark event, America would return to become "UNION." God works that way. America will always be a nation because Holy Mary promised that to George Washington. We are in God's Plan as a Christian nation. We are in God's Justice when we go forward chaotically without God. Perhaps now we are re-awakening. The Year of Mercy almost over, the door to Mercy will shut and people will return, but to the shame of being under Jesus' Justice. These people who waited will walk in shame until their personal penance is paid. That seems clear. One vision from an online search nearly a decade ago of same came up with a person's vision. One particular line struck me with that vision of these times: Jesus told her that life would go on after terrible events and that, "Grace and Shame shall roll along the ground." I don't know why that struck me as an "oh yes, that's gonna happen" type response, but I can see now why it stayed in my "to be filed" memory. There is another mystic perhaps you can add to your wonderful list of heavenly friends here. That is Sister Mildred Mary Neuzil of Our Lady of America. Perhaps she is on your list and I haven't found her yet. Holy Mary gave her some very good prayers for our nation. God Bless everyone, great and small!

Anonymous said...

To anonymous just above. The United States of America isn't the world. There are many other countries in the world which God loves. What happens in Washington or whether the US is in union is of little importance to the child starving on the streets of India. It certainly doesn't solve that child's problem. Christian people putting in the hard yards of caring for that child and those like him will help him far more than those waiting for God to make America without their help.

Glenn, thank you for writing this piece for discernment and contemplation. It has reminded me that our sister in Heaven, Saint Faustina, can be invoked to intercede for us in this challenging time.....as can all the saints.

I challenge those who are leveling some strong sentiments against this blog post to obtain a copy of The Diary of Saint Faustina Kowalska and read it, so that you may come to understand the premise of Glenn's writing.

The problem with Sister Faustina's Diary:

Sister Faustina had less than three winters of education. She wrote her diary at the request of her Confessor, but it contained a number of grammatical errors. After her death, the Mother Superior had one of the sisters re-write the Diary. This sister added and delete words, sentences and whole pages. Then an Italian translation was made from this inaccurate copy of the Diary.

I also thought that, going by the Jewish sense of the Jubilee, even though the Jewish Jubillee ended, this is like what had been taken from people being restored. I am happy about the Supreme Court, but let's not get crazy. People have a very legitimate reason for protesting against a man who has said the things this man has said. he is a very sinful man. But God may be using him for a time to restore what has been taken from us, respect for the dignity of human life as God created it, not as governments wish to treat it. He is still the same man to say horrendous things to Billy Bush months after his 3rd wedding, he is still the same man who said all those absolutely crazy, dehumanizing, violent, impetuous, even treasonous (Russia) things. But if we keep praying, maybe he will convert or come to justice himself by the courts finally catching up with him, in which case he should step down for Mike Pence to take over. In him we would have an honest, Christian man who would give us a conservative Supreme Court and serious presidential mindset.

I have compiled a binder of the Blessed Mother's urgent call to all humanity, specifically for the last hundred years , to conversion, repentance and to follow her son, Jesus, on the way to holiness! Though this is hardly complete, as the Blessed Mother has been preparing the world for the (4) four great supernatural events that are going to happen in the year 2017! They are: The Warning, The Miracle, The Chastisement, and the Great Era of Peace, all of which will be concluded before October 13, 2017! At Fatima she said, " but in the end my Immaculate Heart will Triumph, and an era of peace will be given to all mankind" lasting 25 years! Then comes the Antichrist! These events are about to commence shortly as the Year of Mercy will end on November 20th, and The Day of Justice begins, completed before October, 2017! No
w we must prepare for these events by Concentration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary! You and your whole families! Only in this way will you survive the Chastisement, the Three Days of Darkness as foretold by Blessed Anna Maria Taigi and St.Padre Pio! You will know that these events are imminent when the world-wide revolution breaks out, spurred on by the evil one, and the final world-wide war erupts when the nations come against Israel! Armageddon!

I am aware of several modern prophecies and have read St. Faustina's Diary several times. I facilitate an MMP Cenacle. The late Fr. Gobbi received locutions from Our Lady that are contained in the book "To the Priests, Our Lacy's Beloved Sons". Given the state of the world, the Church, and the United States in particular, I am much more inclined to pray and to read Holy Scripture than to keep reading these "messages". Many of us prayed that Hillary Clinton would not be elected President, and I thank God for His Mercy in allowing her defeat. One thing I do know: we need to keep President-elect Trump in our prayers every day - his family and all his advisors. And the protection of the United States. A lot on our plate... Blessings to all.

My second of three dreams 1994 or 1995

It started the same way as the first dream. I came home from work tired, lay down on my bed to rest for a little while and went right to sleep. This is what I dreamed:

I saw a picture of Jesus just as He looks on the cover of “I am your Jesus of Mercy” book, accept it was in black and white, as if it was carved out of ice or glass. I felt great peace and love. Then I looked up and I saw a picture of a face that looked very mad, like your father’s face looks when you did something wrong and he is scolding you. It was very disturbing. I said, “What is that?”, and I heard a very kind and gentle voice say, “That is Jesus”. I said “No, no, this is Jesus; this is Jesus, refereeing to the picture of “I am Your Jesus of Mercy”. The kind and gentle voice said, “That is Jesus of Mercy and that is Jesus of Justice”, and I woke up. I went and told my wife the dream.

Jesus of Mercy Jesus of Justice

Then some days later we were watching a tape showing the inside of the church at the shrine in Washington DC, when they showed an icon of Jesus and under it was written Jesus of Judgment, I said that is the picture I saw in my dream as Jesus of Justice. Above is a copy of an icon picture that looks similar to the Jesus of Justice and a copy of I am Your Jesus of Mercy that is on the book “Jesus of Mercy”.
First, all I could discern from the dream was that there is a Jesus of Mercy and a Jesus of Justice. That the Jesus of Mercy gave me a great feeling of peace and Love. While Jesus of Justice made me feel very nervous and some what scared.
So I researched on Jesus of Mercy and Jesus of Justice. Below is what I found.

From the "Diary Divine Mercy in My Soul", Saint Sister M. Faustina Kowalska.

Page 19 -36 (14) Once I was summoned to the judgment [seat] of God. I stood alone before the Lord. Jesus appeared such as we know Him during His Passion. After a moment, His wounds disappeared except for five, those in His hands, His feet and His side. Suddenly I saw the complete condition of my soul as God sees it. I could clearly see all that is displeasing to God. I did not know that even the smallest transgressions will have to be accounted for. What a moment! Who can describe it? To stand before the Thrice-Holy God! Jesus asked me, Who are you? I answered , "I am Your servant, Lord." You are guilty of one day of fire in purgatory. I wanted to throw myself immediately into the flames of purgatory, but Jesus stopped me and said, Which do you prefer, suffer now for one day in purgatory or for a short while on earth? I replied, "Jesus, I want to suffer in purgatory, and I want to suffer also the greatest pains on earth, even if it were until the end of the world." Jesus said, One [of the two] is enough; you will go back to earth, and there you will suffer much, but not for long; you will accomplish My will and My desires, and a faithful servant of Mine will help you to do this. Now, rest your head on
My bosom, on My heart, and draw from it strength and power for these sufferings, because you will find neither relief nor help nor comfort anywhere else. Know that you will have much, much to suffer, but don't let this frighten you; I am with you.

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME

One of the things I personally find noteworthy about the election of Donald Trump is the fact that over the years quite a few of his businesses have suffered significant financial failures, and even several bankruptcies, and so with this in mind the man is therefore actually quite well suited to handle and cope with a possible US economic collapse, if such were to happen. -Something to at least consider, I think.

Thank you Glenn for a good article considering what might follow the 'Year of Mercy.'

I don't know how anyone could find your article to be scaremongering. All we have to do is put on the evening news on the TV and we can soak up all the horror and terror and scaremongering we can digest. Or is everybody connecting the dots.

I remember a few years ago some people would complain about the doom and gloom in the messages from Heaven. Quite recently I said to one such person. 'Remember all the doom and gloom we were warned about?.' 'Well it is on the news every day now.'

I do wonder if things will change following the Holy Year of Mercy for which I do thank our most Merciful God. And pray, Have Mercy on us O Lord and forgive us. You are a King of Mercy. Forgive us, we know not what we do. Help our unbelief O Lord.

I do hope Mr Trump will be a successful President. However if what Charlie J says comes true, Mr Trump may not indeed take up the President post. We do not need to worry whatever happens, God is aware and will bring good out of whatever happens.

God save Mr Trump. God save America. God have Mercy on us all. For who is like God.

Actually witnessing educated people of the faith, poopoo this year of mercy clearly speaks to me that justice has its own lock on stupidity. To blog or not to blog, perhaps more people should have read Mr Miller in preparation for 'that' day.
