Mother Carmela was not aware that the body of Therese was to be exhumed in France the next day. She reported that Therese's "countenance was very beautiful and shining, her garments glittered with a light as of transparent silver." Therese said to her "Only my bones will be found."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7233237209177841826.post-51722506198145190602021-11-09T08:39:58.569-05:002021-11-09T08:39:58.569-05:00Thanks John for your thoughtful comments. According to the author, her remains were discovered after she appeared to Pope Pascal in a vision while he was at prayer, and later her remains were transferred below the altar of the church in 822 AD. 770 years later Cardinal Sfondrato when ordering the restoration of some parts of the Basilica, and opened the white marble sarcophagi in the presence of witnesses showed the mortal remains of Saint Cecilia in the same position she was in when she died almost 1500 years before. A marble statue was made of the position of the Saint with the wound in her neck shown, executed by sculptor Stefano Maderno in 1599 at the second exhumation of her incorrupt body.
Most of the story can be read in the account by Mrs Cruz. 'Wiki' supplies an important aspect about Valerian who Saint Cecilia was betrothed to marry, despite her vow of perpetual virginity. Pagan Valerian after he had been baptised following Saint Cecilia's direction, was able to see her guardian angel.
Saint Cecilia died, martyred, about AD 177.
Johnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7233237209177841826.post-17695164819711138672020-02-26T01:32:16.794-05:002020-02-26T01:32:16.794-05:00The body supposedly of St Catherine in Rue de BAC ...The body supposedly of St Catherine in Rue de BAC is a ‘jane doe’ from the morgue. When she was exhumed for the beatification/canonisation process her body was found naturally decomposed.

-Glenn DallaireGlenn Dallairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14335880223972671663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7233237209177841826.post-53691906703329059662018-10-22T04:33:43.178-04:002018-10-22T04:33:43.178-04:00Please confirm whether Saint Therese of lissoux bo...Please confirm whether Saint Therese of lissoux body is corrputed or not
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09290180400247168428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7233237209177841826.post-1462815610095476082014-12-31T05:27:22.263-05:002014-12-31T05:27:22.263-05:00St. Therese showed signs of decomposition shortly ...St. Therese showed signs of decomposition shortly after her death. It is well documented in the convent and historians have verified this, as has the Vatican in research before her canonization. Rumors of incorruptibility are a recent thing due to a wax figure depicting her after death before her funeral, a recreation of a photograph.

There are many books on this subject, read story of a soul and biographies Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7233237209177841826.post-67850356411159834662014-08-02T20:37:39.408-04:002014-08-02T20:37:39.408-04:00I am taking a course and we studied about St. Ther...I am taking a course and we studied about St. Therese of Lisieux, my professor said she was incorupt but another person responded that she is not.
